School has started and so begins my favorite time of year...senior picture time!  I love to get to know the seniors a bit and talk to them about their classes and teachers...their favorites classes, teaches, what their future plans are...They are so full of excitment...their beginnings are just starting and I get to be there to talk to them about it!
Lets start with the beautiful Melanie...

I have such a great time with the seniors, they are so unique and fun!  Chance was super smily, I actually had to tell him to be serious which is almost unheard of for a guy...check out the super handsome Chance!

Congrats!!! {senior 2012}

This shoot was one of my absolute favorites...for a couple of reasons :) One, I have known this amazing girl since she was 2. I spent many of nights at her house when I was in highschool...she was just as beautiful then as she is now I might add! And two, she has grown to be such fabulous person, we had a blast shooting this session, she did whatever I asked {I might have been a little bossy since I figure I have that right after 16 years!} and she wore a "fight like a girl" breast cancer shirt in my honor! I cannot wait to see her succeed in her coming years!

This shoot involved lots of hiking, bouncing around in the pickup, visiting with family, my son being bounced to sleep in the cab, and ending with a big hike up a butte, with my little girl and I following Donny aaalllll the wayyy to the top! It was an awesome time :) Check out Donald...{or Donny as I have called him since he was born!!}

Fun on the Ranch!

I have plenty of places to shoot my sessions, but there is nothing better then doing on location shoots at the home of the kids. When you have the kids in their element, their smiles are better, they are more comfy and they treat you like a friend, just someone that they are showing all their cool forts and hideaways to...you are just pointing a huge camera lens at them while they are chattering away on how you can just crawl over this huge pile of trees to get to the fort that is built almost on top the creek! Seriously I had so much fun doing this shoot, Morgan and Wyatt were awesome to be around and joke with. Wyatt kept coming up with poses to do and he was having so much fun dong it! I think my favorite memory of that day was when the kids wanted to go across the creek and they were like, ya there is a bridge right over here...well, the bridge turned out to be a large stick about 6 inches wide! Let me tell you, I didn't realize I was getting old until I had to balance my way across there! Thank goodness for mom pretty much holding my hand all the way across...thanks Kendra! I am so glad I did it thought because I got some amazing shots over there! Hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I did traipsing all over the ranch yard with these kiddos!

Thanks guys for showing me around and letting me act like a kid again for an afternoon!

Brothers = Friends For Life!

Living in a small town is wonderful.  You always know someone at the post office, the bank, hardware store, grocery store...you get it, you know everyone right, and that is so awesome!  But what is even better is living in the same town as you did when you were growing up.  One thing that I LOVE is being able to shoot sessions with kiddos of the kids that I went to school with....and Jayden and Jaxson are two of those kiddos...I graduated with their mom and their dad was a couple years older than me.  There is just a pretty cool feeling of community and family if you will when you have the privilege of taking pictures of you friends kids!  I hope you enjoy taking a peek at these two super cute guys!

Baby Boy Liam + Big Sis Kate= Beautiful Shoot!

Is there anything that makes a mother want another baby more than being around a mother with her newborn??  My poor husband, every time I come home from a newborn shoot I say,"Mitch I think it's time for another baby..." and he says,"no way Jill, not YET!"  Our two little "babies" are 2 and 3 and I swear we had a talk in the very beginning and we made a deal...NO being big kids till I'm ready!  Well, that deal has been broken not once but twice!  Tasha, you have two beautiful kiddos and you are so blessed!  I had a ball with you guys and feel so honored that you chose me to capture Liam's first photographs!  Everybody get ready to meet Liam and his big sister Kate!

Klein Kiddos

Kids seem to grow up so fast, it seems like just yesterday when I shot a session for these same kiddos and then they really were kiddos!  I always feel so honored and a little bit part of the family when I watch kids grow up through my camera lens!  Trev, Kaylee...you rock, I love my sessions with the two of you...can't wait for the next one!
